Celebrating a Meaningful Milestone

The Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2026 marked a proud and meaningful moment for the entire Sekolah Lentera Kasih (SLK) Makassar community. Surrounded by their families, teachers, and friends, our graduates gathered to celebrate the completion of an important chapter in their educational journey. Dressed in their graduation gowns and caps, they stepped forward not only as students completing primary school, but also as young individuals ready to embrace the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.

This year’s celebration carried the inspiring message “Growth, Courage, Believing, and New Beginnings.” These words beautifully reflected the journey of our graduates. Over the years, they have grown academically and personally, learned to face challenges with courage, developed confidence in their abilities, and discovered the importance of believing in themselves and in the people who have supported them.

Graduation is more than receiving a certificate or completing a grade level. It is a moment to look back at the many experiences that have shaped each student—the lessons learned in classrooms, friendships built along the way, challenges overcome, mistakes that became opportunities to grow, and achievements that once seemed difficult but eventually became possible.

As the graduates stood together on this special day, the ceremony became a celebration of how far they had come. Every smile, graduation cap, bouquet, and proud family photograph represented years of learning, perseverance, encouragement, and countless memories created at SLK. It was a moment to celebrate the past while looking forward with excitement to a new beginning.

A Stage Filled with Stories, Music, and Memories

The graduation programme was made especially memorable through a series of student performances that showcased confidence, creativity, and teamwork. Among the event highlights were a musical drama, singing performances, and instrumental renditions, allowing students to share their talents with families and guests while adding warmth and meaning to the celebration.

Students performed using various instruments, including piano, guitar, and angklung, demonstrating not only their musical abilities but also the discipline required to perform together as an ensemble. Each melody represented hours of practice, cooperation, and the courage to perform in front of an audience on one of the most important days of their school journey.
